Help shape the future of manufacturing and digital transformation at Laing O'Rourke
We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to play a key role in the design, documentation and digital enablement of end-to-end business processes, helping transform client requirements into fit-for-purpose products.
Working across a major transformation programme, you'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to define, optimise and digitally enable business processes that support the design, commissioning and operation of manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and clarification of business process goals and outcomes with key stakeholders.
- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with project and organisational objectives.
- Own the project's process mapping approach, governance and associated toolsets.
- Develop and maintain detailed end-to-end business process maps to support process design, digitisation and operational readiness.
- Work closely with the Digital Enablement team to ensure digital solutions meet project requirements and business needs.
- Identify opportunities to optimise and improve processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Produce high-quality business analysis documentation, including process flows, use cases and requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and solution design.
- Build strong relationships with business users, subject matter experts, project managers and technology teams.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input, validate requirements and support decision making.
- Lead business analysis workstreams and support the successful delivery of project objectives.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Business Analysts.
- Support testing activities to ensure emerging digital solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Contribute to change management activities to support the adoption of new systems and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement by applying industry best practice, emerging technology trends and innovative approaches.

Skills & Experience Essential
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders using a range of business analysis techniques.
- Experience developing and maintaining complex business process maps within an enterprise-grade process mapping environment.
- Experience working closely with project teams to support the successful delivery of business analysis activities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality outputs for a range of audiences.
Desirable
- Experience leading significant business analysis activities, including end-to-end process mapping and requirements management.
- Ability to navigate complexity and drive clarity within transformation programmes and large-scale business change initiatives.
- Construction industry experience.
- Minimum of five years' business analysis experience with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
