Senior Business Analyst at TPXimpact
As a Senior Business Analyst at TPXimpact, you sit at the heart of the BA and wider Delivery Community of Practice, grounded in the principle that exceptional delivery is the core product we produce. By combining design, technical, and data analysis skills, you work alongside Delivery and Product Managers to deeply understand client contexts, resolve pain points, and drive genuine, beneficial change. In this role, you actively shape community standards, leverage collective knowledge, and continually grow through dedicated line-management, coaching, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
A business analyst is accountable for the performance of the team. In this role, you will:
- Accurately capture business and service needs ensuring processes are mapped out clearly for the delivery team
- Using business analysis principles and tools to define requirements and processes that align with project goals
- Lead small-to-medium-sized projects, in a consultancy capacity and supporting larger and more complex projects
- Mentor and/or coach other business analysts from a personal development perspective and assisting in applying the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques
- Own and manage stakeholder relationships
- Carry out research, UAT and identifying risks and mitigations
- Document detailed requirements, functional and non-functional, that can be fed back to the relevant collaborators
- Be an active part of the delivery team to assist the team's successful project delivery
- Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of TPXimpact projects (internal and external)
- Assist and support Lead BA’s, Delivery Managers, Product Managers, the Head of Product & BA and the Delivery Director as required
- Manage and support community of practice (BA team) activities within a business area
The complexity or breadth of products or teams will vary in this role, depending on the context.
Core analysis & project delivery
- Perform end-to-end business analysis by accurately capturing client needs, mapping service processes, and documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work both independently and as an active member of the delivery team to ensure project success, carrying out research, UAT, and risk mitigation.
- Provide essential support to Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and other senior leaders as required.

Community participation & team development
- Provide leadership and grow the business analysis Community of Practice, (BA team), setting standards, facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions, and championing the adoption of best-in-class agile and lean techniques.
- Drive the growth of the analyst team by participating in the interview and hiring process for new talent, ensuring candidates meet the required standards of skill and cultural fit.
- Mentor and coach other business analysts through dedicated line management, fostering their personal and professional development to build a high-performing team.
- Actively encourage and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement within the community and on all projects.
Business development & commercial contribution
- Play a crucial role in the bid writing process by applying expert business analysis to define requirements, scope, and solutions for compelling commercial proposals.
- Lead small-to-medium-sized discovery projects in a pre-sales and consultancy capacity, engaging directly with prospective clients to align project goals and strengthen bids.
- Own and manage key stakeholder relationships with new and existing clients to identify opportunities and ensure proposed solutions meet their core business needs.

- You currently provide leadership, mentor, and grow delivery communities. This includes line management duties, coaching team members, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- You can expertly manage stakeholder relationships at all levels. You can communicate complex information clearly, resolve conflict, and build consensus around business and user needs.
Agile & delivery management
- You champion and embed agile principles within projects. You'll guide teams in selecting the best delivery methods, help them prioritise work towards an MVP, and use metrics to measure and evaluate outcomes effectively.
- User Focus: You keep the user at the heart of the process. You can define user research, analyse both quantitative and qualitative data, and translate user needs into tangible outcomes.
Core analysis & strategy
- Strategic Business Analysis: Investigate complex business problems and opportunities. You can define clear requirements, ensure solutions align with strategic goals, and quantify business benefits to inform decision-making.
- Process Improvement & Modelling: You can identify opportunities to improve business performance. You'll lead the analysis and design of process changes, using a wide range of modelling techniques to gain stakeholder agreement.
- Client-Side Consultancy & Advisory: You act as a trusted advisor, embedding yourself within client-side projects to understand their unique culture, challenges, and strategic goals. This involves navigating complex organisational structures, providing expert consultancy, and helping to shape the client's long-term strategic plans. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding clients toward solutions that deliver real business value.
- Leading Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement: You will take a leadership role in the end-to-end delivery of client projects. This means confidently leading discovery workshops, presenting findings to senior client stakeholders, and managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Your ability to lead difficult conversations, negotiate priorities, and build consensus is key to ensuring project success and maintaining strong client relationships.

- Digital perspective & tooling: Apply a strong understanding of digital technologies to your work. You can select and support the most appropriate methods and tools for the job and define robust testing criteria to ensure quality.
