Role Overview

Our client is a leading Investment bank and is urgently seeking a hybrid senior-level Business Analyst / Project Manager to join the Global Markets Risk and PnL team as a contractor to deliver enhancements and manage cross-functional projects that span multiple business lines and technology platforms.

The role will combine in-depth business knowledge of market-risk and P&L processes with hands-on delivery experience, ensuring that solutions are technically sound, fit-for-purpose and aligned with the firm’s overall IT strategy.

As a Business Analyst

  • Conduct numerical, functional and technical analysis for IT projects that affect Risk and P&L data.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) on trading-risk, P&L attribution and regulatory-risk processes.
  • Act as the bridge between development teams, end-users (e.g., Quant Research, Middle Office, Risk Management, APS) and other technology groups.
  • Produce clear requirement artefacts – use-case diagrams, data-flow specifications, functional specifications and test-case libraries.
  • Where appropriate, support implementation by developing scripts or utilities in Python (or other data-focused languages).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
