Senior Business Analyst – Private Markets | London | Hybrid | Contract
We are partnering with a leading global alternative investment manager that is continuing to invest heavily in its Change & Transformation capability as the business scales. They are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a high-performing Change team, working across strategic transformation initiatives spanning business processes, operations, technology and data.
This is a highly visible role offering significant autonomy and exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation. You'll be expected to go beyond traditional requirements gathering – challenging existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping shape how change is delivered across the business.
The Role
- Lead Business Analysis across complex, business-critical transformation initiatives.
- Gather, challenge and translate business requirements into clear, deliverable outcomes.
- Analyse As-Is processes and design improved To-Be processes, with a significant focus on process re-engineering.
- Partner closely with Operations, Technology and Data teams to deliver data-driven change.
- Support projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements, design, testing, implementation and adoption.
- Work within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with project, product and technology teams.
- Use data and analytical tools to investigate problems, identify trends and support decision-making.
- Define and, where appropriate, measure success criteria and benefits associated with change initiatives.
- Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, constructively challenging requirements and existing ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why Consider It?
This is an opportunity to join a growing private markets business where Change has genuine visibility and influence. You'll work on strategic initiatives rather than being limited to a single programme, with exposure across business, operations, data and technology. For a Senior BA looking for greater ownership, senior stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to improve and redesign processes rather than simply document them, this is a particularly strong opportunity.
