Senior Business Analyst
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Analyst based in United Kingdom.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs and technical solutions within an international insurtech environment. You will help modernize and automate motor claims management processes, working with insurers, vehicle manufacturers, and fleet operators to deliver efficient, integrated digital solutions. From facilitating discovery workshops and defining business requirements to supporting implementation and final acceptance, you will own the requirements lifecycle end to end. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, customers, and international development teams to transform complex needs into clear, actionable specifications. Your expertise in process modeling, requirements engineering, and agile delivery will help ensure that solutions meet business objectives and deliver measurable value. This senior-level opportunity offers autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to contribute to impactful digital transformation initiatives. The role offers remote flexibility, with mandatory on-site presence in Stuttgart, Germany, during onboarding and periodically throughout the engagement.
Accountabilities
- Lead discovery and requirements analysis: Plan, facilitate, and follow up on discovery workshops with customers and business units. Elicit, consolidate, and validate requirements, making assumptions, conflicting inputs, dependencies, and unresolved questions transparent.
- Define business solutions and project scope: Develop solution concepts for digitalization, automation, and integration initiatives. Establish clear scope definitions, including inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, dependencies, and risks, while evaluating solution options based on business value, effort, and feasibility.
- Model business processes and document requirements: Create process diagrams using BPMN 2.0 and develop structured requirements, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, story maps, business rules, status logic, and business data objects. Maintain accurate documentation in Confluence and manage requirements in Jira.
- Specify business integration needs: Define interface and API requirements from a business perspective, supporting platform integration initiatives and ensuring alignment between business expectations and technical implementation.
- Ensure requirements quality and traceability: Review requirements for completeness, consistency, clarity, and testability. Coordinate reviews with business stakeholders and development teams, ensure alignment with the Definition of Ready, and maintain traceability from initial requirements through implementation and acceptance.
- Support testing and solution acceptance: Derive acceptance criteria and test scenarios, contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT), coordinate business validation, and secure stakeholder acceptance of delivered solutions.
- Manage backlogs and prioritization: Maintain and continuously refine initiative backlogs, prioritize requirements according to business value, urgency, and dependencies, and participate in agile planning and refinement sessions.
- Support implementation and change management: Guide technical implementation from a business perspective, clarify questions from development teams, identify deviations and delivery risks early, assess change requests, and incorporate approved changes into the scope and backlog.
- Coordinate stakeholders and communication: Align customers, business units, management, and international software development teams. Communicate progress, open issues, decisions, and risks clearly in German and English, adapting communication to different audiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
