Senior Business Analyst – Commercial Pharma & Analytics
Location: London, UK
Working Model: Hybrid – approximately 2 days onsite per week
Engagement: Long-Term Contract
Rate: Approximately £43/hour, with flexibility depending on experience and overall fit
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong Commercial Pharma / Life Sciences and Data & Analytics experience to support AI-enabled analytics and digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for Commercial Pharma and Data & Analytics initiatives.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements-gathering meetings.
- Develop business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand current-state processes and define future-state solutions.
- Partner with Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, and technology teams to translate business requirements into analytics solutions.
- Define KPIs, reporting requirements, dashboards, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Support data and analytics transformation and reporting-modernisation initiatives.
- Participate in Agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritisation, stakeholder reviews, and release activities.
- Support UAT, business validation, defect resolution, and stakeholder sign-off.
- Analyse business processes, identify gaps, and recommend opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Support AI-enabled analytics and digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and present analysis, recommendations, and project updates to senior stakeholders.

Required Experience
- Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst / Business Analyst within Pharma, Life Sciences, or Healthcare.
- Commercial Pharma experience, including exposure to commercial analytics, customer analytics, forecasting, launch excellence, or portfolio strategy.
- Strong experience in Data & Analytics transformation.
- Proven experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process analysis, and documentation.
- Experience developing user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and business process documentation.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with Data Engineering, BI, and Analytics teams.
- Strong experience defining KPIs, reporting requirements, and dashboard specifications.
- Experience supporting UAT and business validation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Working Arrangement
This is a London-based hybrid contract opportunity, with approximately 2 days per week onsite and the remaining days working remotely. The role offers an opportunity to work on high-impact Commercial Pharma, Data & Analytics, and AI-driven transformation initiatives alongside business, analytics, BI, and data teams.
