About Albany Beck
Albany Beck is a Management Consultancy focused on providing specialist talent and transformative solutions to Financial Services clients. We combine subject matter expertise with innovative delivery models that help clients scale efficiently, while offering meaningful, long-term career opportunities to our people. At Albany Beck, you’ll be choosing to work with an organisation that’s passionate about your learning journey and committed to your professional and personal development.
Role Overview
Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Senior Transformation Business Analyst to support a major platform implementation and Target Operating Model (TOM) transformation programme within a leading Financial Services organisation. Initially, the role will focus on the mobilisation and implementation of a new Portfolio, Programme and Project Management platform, ensuring business requirements are effectively translated into platform capabilities and the organisation is ready for successful adoption. As the programme progresses, the role will broaden into the design and implementation of the wider Target Operating Model, covering people, process, technology, data, governance and service management. This is a senior, hands-on transformation role requiring someone who can operate beyond traditional Business Analysis responsibilities. The successful candidate will be comfortable taking ownership, operating with minimal supervision and acting as a trusted representative of programme leadership across business analysis, Agile delivery, programme governance and TOM activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities across the platform implementation.
- Gather, analyse and document business, functional and operational requirements.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and process documentation.
- Map current and future-state processes and maintain requirements traceability.
- Work with business, technology and third-party suppliers to ensure solutions meet programme objectives.
- Support data readiness, UAT, business readiness and adoption activities.
- Support the design and implementation of the future-state Target Operating Model.
- Assess gaps across people, process, technology, data and governance.
- Facilitate TOM workshops and define future-state processes, roles, responsibilities and RACI models.
- Support the development of governance, service management processes and operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and improved ways of working.
- Manage Jira backlogs, user stories and key Agile delivery artefacts.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning and showcases.
- Maintain programme plans, RAID logs, dependencies, actions and decision logs.
- Coordinate delivery across business, technology, change and supplier workstreams.
- Produce programme reporting, dashboards and Steering Committee materials.
- Act as a key link between programme leadership, business stakeholders, SMEs, technology teams and third-party suppliers.
- Facilitate workshops and drive agreement across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proactively identify and escalate risks, blockers and delivery concerns.
- Operate independently and represent the Programme Lead across BA, governance and TOM activities when required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
