Overview

Join our organisation!

AtkinsRéalis is growing its Business Analysis consulting team to support digital, data and transformation programmes across the defence sector. We are looking for experienced Business Analysts who can help clients solve complex problems in secure, highly regulated and mission-critical environments, where operational resilience, assurance, security and stakeholder alignment are essential. This is an opportunity to apply your business analysis expertise to meaningful defence programmes, helping clients translate mission needs into clear requirements, improve operational effectiveness, and deliver digitally enabled transformation across complex defence and secure government contexts.

We are seeking experienced professionals operating at Senior Consultant level who are ready for a new challenge. We welcome creative, adaptable problem solvers who want to help shape the future of the defence sector while continuing to develop their own career. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex, high-impact programmes and to take your career in the direction of your interests.

When it comes to living your life, we want your role with AtkinsRéalis to be a key part of your personal journey. We have a collaborative inclusive team culture where people will help, guide and mentor you to help you grow. We pitch in and help colleagues because we succeed as a team.

Our flexible and remote working policies are designed to support different personal priorities and needs. Also, ask us about some of our recent pledges for Women's Equality, as well as being a 'Disability Confident' and 'Inclusive Employer.'

Your role

As a Senior Business Analyst in our Secure Government business unit, you will support digital, data and transformation programmes across defence environments where mission assurance, operational resilience, security and effective collaboration across military, engineering, operational and digital stakeholders are critical. You will help clients define needs, lead and manage requirements, optimise processes and deliver change in contexts where safety, assurance, security, regulatory compliance and stakeholder alignment are central to successful outcomes.

The role as a Business Analyst within our Digital, Data and AI consulting team will involve:

  • Delivering exceptional results for our clients by putting value at the core of everything we do.
  • Leading collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive digital initiatives and shape the culture and behaviours required for successful digital adoption.
  • Leading senior-level engagement. Working with military, operational, engineering, security, commercial, assurance and digital stakeholders, using senior-level facilitation, analysis and constructive challenge to translate complex defence and secure government needs into clear, prioritised and traceable requirements that support mission outcomes, operational resilience and deliverable digital transformation.
  • Analysing processes and operations, using appropriate tools and techniques to identify improvements in accordance with client objectives, including workshop facilitation.
  • Leading end-to-end requirements development, from initial business needs through user-level requirements, ensuring clear translation, traceability, and alignment to support the creation of value-adding digital solutions.
  • Developing and leading transformation roadmaps that form the foundation of digital change for our customers.
  • Influencing Agile practices within our client’s environment, helping to shape key activities and actively participating in sprints, scrums and retrospectives.
  • Contributing to the development of operational improvement tools, techniques and methods that build capability within our teams, including exploring how AI-enabled approaches can enhance efficiency, insight and value.
  • Championing stakeholders' needs, ensuring development is aligned with their requirements and business goals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
