Role Purpose
The Senior Regional Business Analyst is responsible for leading the business transformation and adoption of the Horizon Business Optimisation platform across the EMEAA region. The role drives the transition from traditional operational planning towards AI-enabled, data-driven business optimisation by embedding standardised operational models, resource allocation methodologies and performance management practices across multiple countries.
Working in partnership with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Human Capital, IT and Product Owner, the role ensures Horizon becomes the primary decision-support platform for strategic, tactical and operational planning. The role is accountable for translating operational demand into optimised resource allocation strategies that improve service quality, operational productivity, cost efficiency and commercial performance. The Senior Regional Business Analyst provides functional leadership to local and regional team of Business Analysts, ensuring consistent deployment methodologies, governance standards and business adoption across EMEAA.
Responsibilities

Regional Business Transformation & Horizon Adoption
- Lead the business adoption of the Horizon Business Optimisation platform across the EMEAA region.
- Drive organisational change and ensure successful transition from traditional planning methods to AI-enabled business optimisation.
- Develop country adoption strategies that maximise operational value and business benefits.
- Partner with regional leadership to embed Horizon into day-to-day operational decision making.
- Lead deployment readiness activities across all participating countries.

Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Lead the discovery, analysis and documentation of regional business requirements.
- Translate operational and commercial requirements into functional business solutions.
- Develop user stories, business process maps and functional specifications supporting product development.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Product & Engineering teams to ensure solutions meet operational needs.
- Support the functional design of new Horizon capabilities from concept through deployment.

Programme Delivery & Country Deployments
- Lead regional business workstreams for Horizon deployments across multiple countries.
- Coordinate deployment activities with Operations, Product, Technology and Data teams.
- Ensure countries meet business readiness milestones prior to deployment.
- Support deployment planning, dry runs and production go-lives.
- Monitor deployment progress and escalate risks where required.

Operational Modelling & Business Optimisation
- Lead the development of operational optimisation models that improve service quality, operational efficiency and financial performance.
- Define operational service standards and business rules used within Horizon.
- Develop resource allocation methodologies that optimise labour, facilities, equipment and operational capacity.
- Validate optimisation models with operational subject matter experts.
- Continuously improve business optimisation methodologies across the region.

Change Management & Business Readiness
- Lead regional change management activities supporting Horizon adoption.
- Develop business readiness plans for each deployment.
- Produce business training materials and adoption guides.
- Deliver workshops and coaching sessions for regional and country stakeholders.
- Monitor business adoption and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

User Acceptance Testing
- Lead the regional business testing strategy.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities across multiple countries.
- Define business test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Manage defect triage with Product, Technology and Data teams.
- Approve business readiness for production deployment.

- Define and monitor business success measures for Horizon deployments.
- Track operational, financial and commercial benefits delivered through the platform.
- Produce executive reporting on adoption, optimisation opportunities and realised benefits.
- Identify opportunities for continuous business improvement.
- Support strategic decision making through data-driven insights.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Build strong relationships with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Human Capital, Technology and Product teams.
- Act as the primary regional business representative for Horizon.
- Coordinate with implementation partners and external vendors where required.
- Facilitate governance meetings and business reviews.
- Present recommendations and programme updates to senior leadership.

Experience Required
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Economics, Finance, Business Studies) And/or equivalent professional experience in logistics, workforce planning, or operational management, with a proven track record of applying data-driven approaches to planning and decision-making.
Technical Expertise:
- Business optimisation methodologies
- Operational performance analysis
- Resource allocation modelling and Operational planning platforms
- Financial and operational KPI analysis
- Forecast modelling or statistical analysis
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical capability and KPI literacy.

Experience
- Minimum 8 years' proven experience leading regional transformation programmes.
- Experience implementing enterprise planning or optimisation platforms.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple countries.
- Strong understanding of operational processes within aviation, air cargo, logistics or complex operational environments.
- Experience presenting business cases and programme updates to executive leadership.
