Senior Business Analyst - full time permanent - £65,000 - 2 days hybrid Milton Keynes
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a growing organisation at an important stage of its transformation journey.
This is not a traditional BA role focused solely on requirements gathering and documentation. We are looking for someone who combines strong core business analysis skills with a strategic, consultative mindset and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
You will work across digital, technology and business transformation initiatives, taking complex data, processes and business challenges and translating them into clear recommendations that support senior-level decision making.
Working closely with Product, Technology and senior leadership, you will lead analysis from initial discovery through to delivery, helping ensure solutions are commercially focused, scalable and aligned with the organisation's longer-term growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions, requirements gathering and analysis across complex business initiatives.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, workflows and business rules.
- Analyse current-state processes and map end-to-end customer and operational journeys.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, cost reduction and improved customer experience.
- Develop business capability maps and support wider business architecture activities.
- Translate complex data and analysis into clear recommendations and compelling narratives for senior leadership.
- Build business cases and use evidence to influence strategic decisions.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams and third-party technology partners.
- Support digital products involving APIs, integrations and SaaS platforms.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout design, development, testing and implementation.
- Coordinate UAT and ensure solutions meet business, customer and regulatory requirements.
- Challenge and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite level.
- Mentor other analysts and help establish strong BA standards and ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
