Senior Business Analyst – London Markets
Location: London preferred, other locations available across UK
Work Model: Hybrid (2 days per week in office)
Contract Duration: 8–12 Months
Start: ASAP
Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Are you an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong London Market and Financial Services experience? We’re looking for a highly skilled professional to join a major transformation programme, working closely with senior stakeholders and technology teams to define requirements and deliver effective business solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business analysis activities across complex transformation programmes within the London Markets environment
- Gather, document, validate, and prioritise business and functional requirements
- Act as the link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, brainstorming sessions, and requirements discussions
- Produce BRDs, FRS, user stories, process flows, and use cases
- Analyse current-state processes, identify gaps, and recommend future-state improvements
- Work closely with architects, developers, QA teams, Product Owners, and project teams
- Define acceptance criteria and test scenarios
- Support and coordinate UAT, review test results, and validate delivered solutions
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, digital transformation, and operational efficiency
- Evaluate solution options, assess risks and impacts, and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders

Required Skills
- 8–10 years of Business Analysis experience
- Strong London Markets experience
- Proven experience working within Financial Services / Insurance
- Strong knowledge of requirements gathering analysis, documentation, and prioritisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience with senior stakeholders and business leaders
- Experience producing BRDs, FRS, user stories, process flows, and use cases
- Strong business process analysis and process modelling experience
- Experience supporting UAT, testing, acceptance criteria, and defect resolution
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Business Analysis tools
- Ability to work across complex transformation programmes

Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, and Sprint methodologies
- Experience within Lloyd's / London Market Insurance
- Background in Underwriting, Broking, Claims, Reinsurance, or Specialty Insurance
- Knowledge of data analysis
- Experience with digital transformation and automation
- Strong presentation and workshop facilitation skills
