Senior Business Analyst (Data) – Contract (Outside IR35)

Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (business needs permitting)

Contract Length: Initial 6-month contract

Day Rate: £450–£550 per day (Outside IR35)


The role

Our client is seeking two experienced Senior Business Analysts to join their IT function on an initial six-month contract. These roles will support the delivery of several high-profile, data-driven initiatives across the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Business Analysts who have extensive experience working on data-focused projects, who can hit the ground running and quickly engage with stakeholders, define requirements, and drive successful project delivery.

As an experienced Business Analyst, you will be accountable for delivering a defined portfolio of projects and will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Lead business analysis activities across multiple concurrent data projects.
  • Gather, analyse and document complex business and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops with key business stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria where appropriate.
  • Support solution design alongside technical teams.
  • Manage requirements through the full project lifecycle.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business readiness.
  • Ensure solutions meet business objectives and gain formal stakeholder sign-off.
  • Help establish and improve business analysis standards, processes and best practice.

Essential Experience

We're specifically looking for Business Analysts with a strong background in data projects.

You'll ideally have:

  • Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst delivering complex data projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership engagement.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and requirements elicitation skills.
  • Experience producing high-quality business analysis documentation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • A structured and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

Contract Details

  • Initial 6-month contract
  • Outside IR35
  • £450–£550 per day
  • Hybrid working (typically 3 days onsite / 2 days from home)
  • Immediate requirement with interviews taking place shortly and a start date expected within 2–3 weeks.
