Contract Snr AI Business Analyst | £800/day (INSIDE IR35) | London/Hybrid

We’re looking for a Senior AI Business Analyst to join an Enterprise Solutions team, acting as the key bridge between business stakeholders and an internal AI development function.

This is a business-led AI role rather than a technical AI engineering position. The organisation already has a significant pipeline of AI use cases identified and is now looking for an experienced BA to take prioritised opportunities, understand the underlying business processes, and define where AI can deliver genuine value.

The Role

You will work closely with business stakeholders to:

  • Deep-dive into prioritised AI use cases and understand the underlying business challenges.
  • Analyse and document existing business processes, workflows and requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for AI, automation and process improvement.
  • Assess the feasibility and potential value of AI-enabled solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, provide constructive challenge and help prioritise requirements.
  • Define AI-assisted user journeys and workflows where appropriate.
  • Work closely with internal technology and AI teams to ensure business requirements can be effectively translated into solutions.
  • Support business cases and feasibility assessments for proposed initiatives.
  • Contribute to product/service roadmaps and backlog prioritisation where required.
  • Model business processes, roles and data to support solution definition.
  • Consider usability, accessibility and responsible use of AI within proposed solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Desirable

  • Experience working with finance and/or procurement processes.
  • Experience within a large enterprise or consulting environment.
  • SAP or other enterprise application experience.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for workflow automation and AI-enabled process improvement.

This is not an AI engineering role. You will not be expected to code or build data pipelines. SQL, Python and data engineering are not core requirements — the focus is on understanding the business, analysing processes, identifying valuable AI opportunities and translating these into well-defined requirements for the development team.

If you’re an experienced Business Analyst who combines strong commercial/process analysis skills with practical AI literacy and the confidence to advise stakeholders on where AI can genuinely add value, we’d be keen to hear from you.
