About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support Alpha phase delivery for healthcare projects and contribute to the design, validation, and refinement of digital solutions. The role involves translating validated user needs into detailed requirements, supporting prototype development and testing, maintaining a prioritised backlog, and ensuring solutions align with user, business, clinical, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Product Managers, User-Centred Design teams, developers, architects, and stakeholders to iteratively validate solutions and inform progression to Beta delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and validate requirements for healthcare services, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows, user needs, and business outcomes identified during discovery phase.
- Collaborate with User Researchers and Service Designers to validate user needs and translate research findings into detailed requirements and solution improvements.
- Define and manage functional and non-functional requirements for app development and data collection solutions, ensuring usability and compliance with healthcare and GDS standards.
- Develop, refine, and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and a prioritised product backlog to support iterative Alpha delivery.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, playback sessions, and solution validation activities with clinicians, patients, and stakeholders to validate needs, assumption and refine scope.
- Ensure requirements comply with healthcare regulations, data governance, and security policies.
- Support solution design and testing by providing detailed analysis and traceability of requirements.
- Adapt backlog priorities based on discovery findings, user feedback, and evolving business needs.
- Support prototype and MVP development by ensuring requirements are understood, traceable, and aligned to user needs.
- Identify, analyse, and communicate risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints impacting solution delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
