Senior Business Analyst - Renewable Energy | Up to £800/day Inside IR35

The business uses sophisticated technology, data, modelling and energy trading to optimise renewable generation and battery storage assets globally, helping maximise returns and drive further investment into the transition towards a cleaner, low-carbon energy system.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The successful Business Analyst will play a key role in shaping the technology roadmap, ensuring requirements are clearly captured, prioritised and aligned with wider commercial and product objectives. Working within an Agile environment, the Business Analyst will support the delivery lifecycle from initial requirements gathering through to development and validation, ensuring the technology being built genuinely solves the problems faced by commercial teams.

As a Business Analyst, you’ll lead requirements-gathering workshops and stakeholder sessions, manage a structured backlog of business and user requirements and work closely with developers and technical leads to ensure the “why” behind each requirement is understood. You’ll also be responsible for analysing and validating that solutions delivered by the technology team meet the original business objectives and requirements.
