Senior Business Analyst – Retail Data & Transformation

Location: London
Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite
Contract: 6-12 months

Seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support major data, digital and technology transformation initiatives within a leading UK retail environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyse and document functional/non-functional business requirements.
  • Analyse business processes, workflows, systems and data to identify improvements.
  • Translate business needs into technology, data and analytics solutions.
  • Work closely with business, technology, data modelling and governance teams.
  • Create user stories, process flows, data mappings and supporting documentation.
  • Manage senior stakeholders and present insights, recommendations and solutions.
  • Support project roadmaps, Agile delivery, sprint planning and backlog management.
  • Use data-driven insights to improve customer experience, commercial performance and operational efficiency.

Key skills:

  • Strong Business Analysis and stakeholder management experience.
  • Retail experience across areas such as eCommerce, customer, merchandising, supply chain or inventory.
  • Experience with data platforms, analytics and data governance.
  • Strong Agile, Jira, Confluence or Azure DevOps experience.
  • Exposure to Azure, Databricks, AI/GenAI and modern data platforms is highly beneficial.
