Business Analyst – AI Initiative | Insurance
Areti Group are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to join a leading insurance company and work on an exciting new AI initiative.
Location: London – Hybrid: 2–3 days per week in the office
Rate: £725 per day – Outside IR35
Start: 2nd week of September
Interview: 1-stage process
You’ll work across business, product and technology teams to help shape and safely deliver AI-powered capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Bringing business stakeholders, product and technology colleagues together to understand problems, affected users and desired outcomes.
- Designing realistic evaluation scenarios for agentic workflows, including normal, exceptional and adversarial cases.
- Reviewing evidence and outcomes before AI capabilities progress.
- Mapping underwriting and operational journeys, highlighting decision points, hand-offs, exceptions, controls and opportunities for safe automation.
- Helping ensure AI-enabled processes are practical, auditable and appropriately governed.

Experience Required
- Strong Business Analyst experience within a cross-functional product or software engineering environment.
- Experience working in a complex, regulated or data-rich environment.
- Practical understanding of controls, auditability, privacy, security and human oversight when introducing automation or AI.
- Genuine curiosity about Generative AI, AI agents and AI-assisted delivery, with the judgement to challenge AI outputs rather than accept them at face value.
- Experience within commercial insurance, an MGA, underwriting or the London Market is highly desirable.
- Strong experience within platforms, financial services or another regulated sector will also be relevant.
