Business Analyst - Payments Transformation
£500 per day | Outside IR35 | 4-Month Initial Contract
We are supporting a specialist consultancy delivering a major transformation programme within a global payments organisation.
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a complex transformation focused on the end-to-end payments journey, beginning with customer acquisition and looking across the wider process, data and technology landscape.
This is an initial 4-month Outside IR35 contract requiring a strong BA who can quickly get underneath a complex environment, work with senior SMEs and translate business problems into clear processes and requirements.
The work will involve understanding the existing landscape across:
- Customer acquisition and onboarding
- Prepaid payment processes
- Operational workflows
- Business rules
- Data and data flows
- Technology and system touchpoints
- Controls and governance
- Cross-functional hand-offs
- Customer and operational outcomes
The BA will help establish the As-Is, identify pain points and gaps, and support the definition of the To-Be operating processes and requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
