Role Description
Lead Business Data Analyst
London, UK
In this role, you will form part of a high-performing agile squad. Alongside the Data Engineering Manager and Principal Product Manager, you will lead the gathering of requirements for our new Snowflake data platform. Your solutions will be critical to our data and analytics domain and to the continued success of the company.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a data-driven colleague to shape the future of Enterprise Data Platform and the data products.

- Act as a data subject matter expert for our new data platform, supporting business users and IT colleagues.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and document them at an appropriate level. Once agreed, translate these into stories and tasks for development.
- Utilize specialist knowledge and experience of business areas, products, and systems to ensure effective and innovative technical solution design.
- Intermediate to strong SQL proficiency.
- Solid Business Analyst experience, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Techno-Functional BA skill set, combining technical expertise (SQL/data analysis) with business analysis capabilities.
- General and London Market Insurance domain experience.
- Solid understanding of business analysis concepts, methods, and practices in an information technology environment.
- Some experience using JIRA or similar agile tools.
