About the Role

You know how to win complex new business. From building the first conversation to navigating senior stakeholders and closing a deal with real commercial weight. You’ve worked in engineering or manufacturing environments before, and you can translate technical detail into a clear reason to buy.

What keeps you interested is the challenge. Strategic accounts. Long sales cycles. Technology with a measurable ROI story. You want a solution that stands out, the freedom to shape your approach, and the chance to work with customers where the impact is easy to see.

As Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to close, helping manufacturers solve real operational challenges with software. For someone with strong commercial instincts, technical credibility, and the drive to keep pushing deals forward, there’s plenty of room to make a visible impact.

Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?

If you're looking for variety, take a look at our client. Their advanced software is optimising manufacturing within the global aerospace, automotive, industrial, marine and power generation industries. They're perfect for someone who prefers a remote yet dynamic working environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
