A leading name in the freight and logistics sector is looking to appoint a driven and commercially focused Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead growth within its expanding Air & Sea freight division.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a high-performing sales professional to play a pivotal role in driving revenue, developing strategic partnerships, and unlocking new business opportunities across both domestic and international markets.

The Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business while nurturing and expanding existing client relationships. You’ll work consultatively with customers to deliver tailored freight forwarding solutions that meet their evolving supply chain needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Build and develop long-term partnerships with prospective and existing clients
  • Design and present bespoke freight forwarding and logistics solutions
  • Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to successful delivery
  • Identify new opportunities for growth across routes, services, and markets
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the freight and logistics landscape
  • Monitor shipments and ensure exceptional service delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience within freight forwarding or logistics (essential)
  • A self-motivated, results-driven individual with a proactive approach
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A collaborative team player with a customer-first mindset
  • Confident on the phone with a professional and engaging manner

What’s on Offer

  • £55,000 – £75,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
  • Attractive commission structure
  • Company car
  • Flexible remote/hybrid working
  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Private healthcare
