Do you have experience selling into ship finance, marine insurance, or maritime financial institutions?
Have you built new business opportunities rather than simply managed existing accounts?
Are you comfortable leading complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and long-term relationships?
If so, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
Nautilus Search is partnering with an innovative maritime technology company that is transforming how financial institutions and insurers assess risk, compliance, and performance across global shipping portfolios.
Following significant growth and continued investment, our client is looking to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager to take ownership of a strategic market segment and drive commercial growth across the finance and insurance sector.
This is an opportunity to join a scaling SaaS business operating at the intersection of shipping, technology, data analytics and sustainability.
The Role
You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities and growing strategic customer relationships across banks, marine insurers, asset managers, lenders and other financial organisations connected to the maritime industry.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
