Senior Business Development Manager
On behalf of our client, we are looking for experienced Senior Business Development Managers within software sales who are ready for their next challenge in a globally expanding business.
Our client specialises in customer experience solutions and uses Generative AI to deliver seamless customer journeys. This role is based at our client’s office in Bracknell, Berkshire, with a hybrid working model requiring at least three days per week in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Account Planning
- Achieve revenue and margin targets from new customers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Create and maintain documented account development plans.
- Work with our client’s marketing and other internal teams to proactively identify and target customers.
- Develop tailored sales approaches for specific customer accounts.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Provide accurate forecasting by effectively progressing sales opportunities.
- Keep our client’s internal systems and contact records up to date.

Customer Relationships and Satisfaction
- Regularly meet with existing and prospective customers to build effective relationships.
- Promote and sell additional services to or through customers.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of customer objectives and key stakeholders.
- Set clear customer expectations during the sales process, delivery and throughout the contract.
- Coordinate our client’s internal teams to meet customer expectations.
- Escalate customer issues when required.
Bid and Tender Management
- Work closely with our client’s presales, delivery, support and bid teams to secure and deliver new business.
- Motivate and coordinate virtual bid teams to submit high-quality bids and tenders ahead of deadlines.
- Fully qualify prospective accounts to ensure customer requirements and questions are addressed throughout the sales process.
- Take overall responsibility for assigned opportunities, whether managed directly or through a bid team.
Product and Sales Expertise
- Maintain a broad understanding of our client’s products, technology and services.
- Stay informed about relevant industry developments.
- Clearly communicate the business value of our client’s solutions to customers and sales colleagues.
- Contribute insights and expertise to our client’s branding and marketing activities.
- Mentor and advise sales colleagues to support their development and help them close opportunities.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 10 years of sales experience, with a strong track record of closing major accounts.
- Demonstrable success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience within SaaS or CCaaS.
- Proven ability to manage high-priority sales opportunities from initial contact through to completion.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences.
