Senior Business Development Manager
Are you a strategic business development professional with a passion for winning new business and driving growth? We're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to identify, develop and secure new opportunities across the public sector, helping to shape the future growth of our Government Services business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Bid Management and Legal, you'll lead the end-to-end sales process, from opportunity identification through to contract award. If you're commercially driven, thrive on building strong client relationships and have a proven track record of delivering successful bid outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a UK-wide remit and can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across the public sector, driving sustainable revenue growth.
- Build, manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting through Salesforce.
- Lead the end-to-end business development process, from opportunity qualification through to contract award and handover.
- Develop compelling tender responses, proposals and client presentations in collaboration with bid and operational teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, procurement teams and decision-makers.
- Work closely with Finance, Operations and Subject Matter Experts to create innovative, commercially viable solutions.
- Support contract negotiations, clarification meetings and client engagement activities to maximise win rates.
- Ensure all business development activities are conducted in line with procurement regulations, governance requirements and company standards.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales or bid management, ideally within the public sector, facilities management or support services environment.
- Demonstrable track record of generating, managing and winning high-value contracts and achieving growth targets.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to develop profitable and competitive business solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credible relationships at all levels internally and externally.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills, coupled with a proactive and results-driven approach.
