Weston Compliance Services is a leading provider of compliance, operational risk and environmental software solutions for the Energy and Industrial sectors. Our software platforms – PLANC Manager, Weston OnLine, COMPASS Operations– help organisations improve compliance, manage risk, enhance operational performance and support digital transformation worldwide. As our business continues to grow internationally, we are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to help drive the next stage of our expansion.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our international software business across the Energy, Industrial, Environmental and Compliance sectors.
This is a high-impact role where you will have sole responsibility for identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic customer and partner relationships, and driving recurring software revenue growth. Working closely with our senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering Weston's international expansion strategy.
Following an initial two-week induction at our headquarters, the role will be primarily remote, with regular international travel for customer meetings, exhibitions, conferences and partner engagement activities.
This position can be based anywhere, provided you can effectively support our target markets and travel internationally as required.
What You Will Be Doing
As Senior Business Development Manager, you will:
- Develop and execute growth plans across assigned territories and industry sectors
- Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities in international markets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, consultants, strategic partners and key industry stakeholders
- Expand reseller, channel partner and strategic alliance networks to accelerate growth
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and solution presentation through to negotiation and contract award
- Drive market adoption of PLANC Manager, Weston OnLine, COMPASS Operations and future software solutions
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline using HubSpot (or similar CRM), providing accurate forecasting and reporting
- Deliver agreed sales targets, revenue objectives and pipeline KPIs
- Represent Weston at industry events, exhibitions, conferences and networking opportunities worldwide
- Collaborate with product, technical and operational teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and successfully delivered
- Provide valuable market intelligence and customer feedback to support strategic planning and product development

What We Are Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven success in business development, commercial leadership or software sales roles
- Experience selling enterprise software or SaaS solutions within Energy, Industrial, Environmental, Compliance, Operational Risk or related sectors
- Proven track record of successfully influencing and selling to senior leadership, executive and C-suite stakeholders within complex organisations, driving strategic customer relationships and commercial growth.
- Strong track record of generating new business and delivering sustainable revenue growth
- Demonstrated ability to develop new markets and build strategic customer relationships
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot to manage pipelines, forecasting and sales activity
- Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required

Desirable Experience
- International business development experience
- Experience within Energy, Oil & Gas, Environmental, ESG, Sustainability or Compliance sectors
- Experience building reseller, channel partner or strategic partner networks
- Understanding of subscription-based software and recurring revenue business models
- Experience introducing software solutions into new international markets
