DC Byte Overview

DC Byte is the leading provider of market data, research, and intelligence for the global data centre sector. At the heart of an industry that quietly keeps the world connected, our technology-led platform empowers the key players designing and developing digital infrastructure to make high-stakes, multi-billion-dollar investment and strategy decisions.

We deliver the most accurate, real-time, and unbiased insights into colocation and self-build enterprise assets worldwide—supporting developers, investors, and operators, including the world’s largest hyperscalers.

We’re Hiring a Senior Business Development Manager

We’re looking for an outstanding Senior Business Development Manager to join DC Byte and win some of the most important prospective customers in the EMEA data centre market.

You’ll own a defined portfolio of flagship target accounts, using your data centre industry expertise to open doors, build senior relationships and turn complex customer needs into significant new business for DC Byte. You’ll lead strategic opportunities from initial engagement through to close, working closely with the VP Sales and teams across Research, Product and the wider business, with the opportunity to sell solutions that can span regions and product suites. If you enjoy winning complex, high-value business and have deep experience in the data centre industry, this role is for you.

Key Requirements

  • Deeply experienced in the data centre industry, with strong knowledge of the market, its participants, and the commercial challenges facing customers
  • A proven new-business seller who can demonstrate success winning significant B2B deals with large and complex organizations
  • Experienced in selling subscription and information services; experience in data subscriptions, research, or intelligence is particularly valuable
  • Skilled at developing strategic target accounts, identifying routes into an organization, and building momentum where relationships do not already exist
  • Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and capable of developing the credibility required to operate increasingly independently at VP and C-suite level
  • Commercially curious and consultative, able to uncover customer challenges and develop compelling use cases rather than relying on transactional selling
  • Experienced in navigating multi-stakeholder sales processes and bringing together commercial, technical, and strategic decision-makers
  • Disciplined in pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning, with the ability to focus on a relatively small number of high-value opportunities
  • Collaborative and comfortable bringing in senior leadership and subject-matter experts to strengthen an opportunity when required
  • Based in London and flexible to travel across EMEA for prospect meetings, industry events, and conferences, with occasional engagement across other global regions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
