You will act as a senior commercial interface across capabilities including Electronic Warfare, cyber and information assurance, data and analytics, secure digital and IT services, software engineering, and training and exercise support.

What you will be doing:

- Developing strategic engagement and account plans aligned to customer priorities and outcomes.
- Identifying, qualifying and shaping opportunities from early market engagement through to contract award.

- Developing relationships and opportunities across international and export markets.
- Representing the business at relevant defence events, exhibitions and industry forums.
- Maintaining a disciplined approach to CRM, pipeline management, forecasting and reporting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We are looking for someone who understands how the UK Defence market works and, importantly, how the MOD, Primes and key agencies buy and deliver capability.
You will have a strong track record of managing strategic B2B customer or partner relationships, influencing senior stakeholders and turning engagement into qualified opportunities.
Experience in defence, homeland security, security or an adjacent market would be highly relevant. An understanding of Prime partner models and MOD procurement and commercial routes, including frameworks and longer-term partnering arrangements, would also be valuable.

The breadth of the role means you will need to be comfortable operating across different technical and capability areas. Experience bringing together propositions across areas such as cyber, Electronic Warfare, data, digital, software or training would be advantageous.
There is also an international dimension to the role, so experience developing export opportunities and working with international customers, partners and government stakeholders would be a strong advantage.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to customers, understands how to build genuine relationships and can turn market insight into action. You will need to be commercially minded, credible with senior stakeholders and comfortable working across multiple teams to create momentum around an opportunity.
