What You Will Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Multi-Utility Business Development Managers to secure high-value contracts across the electricity, gas, heat, and water sectors.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sector-focused business development strategy, identifying emerging trends and high-value opportunities within the Southeast England market.
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of major project accounts, including pricing strategies, complex contract negotiations, and multi-stakeholder relationship management with developers and regulators.
The ideal candidate
- Proven track record in high-stakes B2B sales, demonstrating rigorous CRM discipline and the ability to navigate long, complex infrastructure sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in deal structuring, contract negotiation, and managing relationships with developers, regulators, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Leadership experience or a senior-level individual contributor background with the strategic mindset and drive to lead and develop a high-performing business development team.
