The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, highly driven Senior Business Development Manager to win new B2B customers and generate significant new revenue for our growing business. This is a new-business hunter role.

You will be responsible for identifying prospective customers, generating your own leads, cold calling businesses, getting in front of decision-makers, presenting our services, negotiating commercial terms, and closing new business.

We are looking for someone who knows how to open doors, create opportunities, and win business, not someone who waits for leads to arrive. You must have previous experience successfully selling services to businesses (B2B) and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of personally generating and closing new business.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will own the new-business sales process from initial prospecting through to signed customer.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Researching and identifying prospective B2B customers throughout the UK.
    • Building and maintaining your own database and pipeline of potential customers.
    • Generating your own leads and new-business opportunities.
    • Cold calling businesses and speaking directly with owners, directors, and senior decision-makers.
    • Introducing our company and services to prospective customers.
    • Booking and attending face-to-face customer meetings.
    • Travelling throughout the UK when required to meet prospective customers.
    • Understanding each prospect's requirements and identifying commercially valuable opportunities.
    • Delivering confident and professional sales presentations.
    • Preparing and presenting commercial proposals.
    • Handling objections and negotiating commercial terms.
    • Following opportunities through consistently until a decision is reached.
    • Closing new business and securing signed agreements.
    • Maintaining a strong, active, and well-managed sales pipeline.
    • Keeping accurate records of prospects, opportunities, and sales activity.
    • Developing relationships that lead to long-term, recurring business.
    • Consistently achieving and exceeding monthly new-business revenue targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Revenue Targets

This is a performance-driven position with clear individual revenue expectations. You will be expected to build towards securing approximately:

  • Months 1–4: £20,000 in new monthly revenue
  • From Month 5 onwards: £30,000+ in new monthly revenue

We therefore need an experienced salesperson who is comfortable being accountable for a substantial individual new-business target and who understands the level of prospecting, activity, and commercial focus required to achieve it.

Who We Are Looking For

You will already be an experienced B2B new-business salesperson with a proven ability to prospect, create opportunities, meet customers, and close deals.

Essential

  • Proven B2B new-business sales experience.
  • Previous experience selling services to businesses.
  • A strong track record of personally winning new customers and revenue.

  • Confidence speaking with business owners, directors, and senior decision-makers.

  • Resilient and comfortable working in a high-activity new-business environment.
  • Professional and presentable when representing the company.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Able to manage your own pipeline, activity, and priorities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Own car and willingness to travel throughout the UK as required.

The Person

You are someone who enjoys winning new business. You don't need to wait for marketing leads or incoming enquiries. You can research a market, identify the right businesses, pick up the phone, reach the decision-maker, and create an opportunity from nothing. You are equally comfortable cold calling from the office and sitting across the table from a Managing Director presenting a commercial proposal.

Most importantly, you understand that activity alone isn't enough. You know how to qualify opportunities, maintain momentum, overcome objections, negotiate effectively, and ask for the business. You take personal responsibility for your pipeline and results and understand that successful new-business sales requires consistent prospecting, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to close.

Salary, Commission & Benefits

  • £50,000 basic salary
  • Uncapped commission
  • £90,000+ OTE
  • Benefits include:
    • Free on-site gym.
    • Free on-site parking from Month 2.
    • Company events.
    • Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm.
    • Office-based position with customer visits throughout the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and proven B2B sales professional who wants significant earning potential, ownership of their results, and the opportunity to directly influence the growth of the business.

Please Do Not Apply Unless...

This position requires genuine new-business B2B sales experience. You should be able to provide clear examples of businesses you have personally prospected, approached, and converted into paying customers, including your role in originating and closing those opportunities.

If your experience is predominantly inbound sales, customer service, or account management without responsibility for generating and closing your own B2B opportunities, this role is unlikely to be suitable.
