What you'll be doing
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Business Development Manager within our cross-border division. This position falls under our Corporate FX line of business and is located in London. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the Business-to-Business (B2B) cross-border sector.
This role requires a commercially focused individual with strong sales acumen and a proven track record in corporate sales. The successful candidate will focus on acquiring new clients and expanding Corpay’s market presence within the corporate sector.
You will report directly to the Sales Director and regularly collaborate with the wider corporate cross-border FX team.
How We Work
As a Senior Business Development Manager, Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in London office. (Monday – Friday, office based)
- Company-issued equipment
- Formal, hands-on training
Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Lead complex, high-value sales pursuits by driving advanced discovery, solution shaping, and negotiation strategy.
- Build deep, strategic relationships with C-suite and senior customer stakeholders to influence multi-year commercial opportunities.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, finance, and operations to architect customised solutions that meet customer strategy.
- Serve as the field expert for competitive positioning, commercial structuring, and deal-risk mitigation.
- Maintain rigorous CRM discipline to ensure accurate forecasting, opportunity progression, and data-based decision-making.
- Mentor junior field sellers by modelling best-in-class selling behaviour, pursuit strategy, and customer engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Banking, Fintech or FX Brokerages.
- Experience with selling FX Forwards.
- Experience with Commodities & Options would be ideal.
- Proven sales and analytical skills for successful business generation.
- Ability to navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and the ability to build rapport.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus strong interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and focused, combined with effective organisational and time management skills.
- Professional demeanour to prospective and current clients coupled with strong listening skills.
- The ability to work as a team player towards sales goals, ideally having mentored or guided Associate level colleagues.
- Attention to detail, particularly with respect to client information and payment data.
