About Us

At Gridcog, we’re on a mission to accelerate investment in the clean energy transition. We are a SaaS start-up of energy nerds building the best project modelling software, so our users can make intelligent energy decisions.

Who We’re Looking For

Our software enables professionals in renewable energy to make informed investments into energy projects that deliver economic and environmental value. Our clients include many of the world’s leading Developers, IPPs, Consultants and Energy Majors, including Shell, TotalEnergies and AGL.

Based in our London office, you will help grow our presence with Energy Majors and Utilities across Europe, inheriting a healthy pipeline of opportunities. These accounts focus on behind-the-meter projects, including fully financed assets paid back via a long-term PPA (such as Battery as a Service and Energy as a Service structures), data centres, e-mobility, and onsite generation and storage. Gridcog is experiencing strong growth in this client sector, driven by increasing project complexity that requires advanced modelling software.

You will be able to quickly build rapport with our clients and prospects, empathise with their challenges (modelling complex energy projects) and demonstrate how Gridcog’s software solution will help. Within these accounts we can work with many different teams, so you’ll be comfortable running a multi-faceted sales process. You will own new business growth targets for Gridcog within this ICP across Europe, delivering on a pre-agreed quarterly sales target.

You’ll also have a passion for the Gridcog mission, be a self-starter who is happy to work at pace in a fast growing startup, and enjoy collaborating with your colleagues globally. If this sounds like you, please read on!

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to Gridcog’s growth by winning new Energy Major and Utility accounts across Europe, in line with agreed company and individual targets. This includes managing and qualifying the pipeline you inherit from our leadership team (who have previously led sales for this ICP), targeting specific client accounts, managing client demo processes and closing opportunities.
  • Build relationships across the many teams within each account, identifying new use cases and opportunities for Gridcog.
  • Develop a strong understanding of behind-the-meter energy projects across Europe, including fully financed assets paid back via a long-term PPA (such as Battery as a Service and Energy as a Service structures), data centres, e-mobility, and onsite generation and storage, positioning yourself to support leading companies in delivering these projects.
  • Share customer and market insights with the wider Gridcog team.
  • Build your personal brand in the European energy industry by attending events and supporting Gridcog marketing activity.
  • Follow and improve our commercial processes including keeping your pipeline and deal records up to date in our CRM.
  • Act as part of a global team, supporting your colleagues in pursuit of company-wide goals.
  • Learn from and contribute to a small but experienced and successful business development team, with exposure to complex deals and decision making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
