Senior Business Development Manager
I'm currently working on a standout Business Development opportunity with one of the most prestigious law firms in the market. They’re seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role within its market-leading Global Sponsors practice.
The team is looking for a strategic, commercially minded business development professional with experience across Private Equity and the wider private capital landscape, who can bring fresh thinking, identify growth opportunities and genuinely influence the direction of a high-profile, fast-growing practice.
Working closely with some of the firm's most successful partners, you'll help shape and deliver business development strategy, strengthen key client relationships, drive new opportunities and elevate the practice's profile across the sponsor market.
The Role
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to support the continued growth of the Global Sponsors practice.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to win new mandates and expand existing client relationships.
- Use market intelligence and data to generate leads and uncover new opportunities across the private capital ecosystem.
- Lead high-value pitches, proposals and client presentations.
- Build strong relationships with partners and act as a trusted adviser on business development activity.
- Develop thought leadership initiatives, events and campaigns targeted at sponsor clients and investors.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, events and networking opportunities.
- Work collaboratively across the wider BD and Marketing function to drive measurable commercial outcomes.

About You
- You'll bring significant business development experience gained within a law firm, professional services environment or another organisation operating at the heart of the private capital market.
- You'll also offer:
- Strong Private Equity or Private Capital experience.
- A proven track record of developing and executing strategic BD initiatives.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence senior partners.
- Experience of client development, opportunity generation and relationship management at a senior level.
- Commercial awareness, initiative and a genuine passion for the private capital sector.
