Senior Business Development Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager on behalf of our client, a highly regarded US law firm.

This is a full-time, permanent position and the successful applicant will be responsible for driving and implementing strategic, revenue-generating business development activities for the Private Equity and Finance practices in London. This will involve creating market-leading initiatives aligned with firm global goals, to drive the business forward; and collaborating across the practice areas between the firm’s London and European offices, as well as with the US.

Duties will include:

  • Organising and driving client targeting programmes
  • Leading and drafting content for cross-practice RFPs and pitches, including coordination with colleagues
  • Guiding lateral hires through the protocols of bringing in clients and integrating them into firm priorities
  • Facilitating cross-selling opportunities across the firm, including crafting and executing a range of go-to-market strategies
  • Conducting strategic research on potential clients, competitors, and practice developments to identify business trends and opportunities
  • Building effective agendas for meetings, preparing materials and speakers, and project managing actions
  • Coordinating firm-hosted business development events
  • Facilitating participation in sponsorships, conferences, memberships and other key profile-building opportunities for the office and individual lawyers
  • Managing the workflow and performance of 2 direct reports
  • Managing the business development budget for the designated practice groups
