Senior Business Development Manager (Ireland)

Browne Fairchild has been exclusively retained to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager (Ireland) on behalf of an established international business with annual revenues exceeding €800 million.

This is a permanent, employed position offering something increasingly rare in senior sales:

Real autonomy.

Not the kind of autonomy that simply appears in a job advert.

The kind where you are trusted to make decisions, build relationships, open doors and deliver results without someone looking over your shoulder every day.

Ireland has been identified as a significant growth market for the business, and this appointment sits at the centre of that strategy. There is already an established customer base to build from, but the bigger opportunity is what comes next.

You will take ownership of commercial development across all of Ireland, with a particular focus on growing the ergonomic products side of the business.

That means:

  • Opening new dealer accounts
  • Developing and strengthening dealer relationships
  • Increasing product specification within the A&D community
  • Identifying and securing major project opportunities
  • Building new relationships across the wider workplace and office interiors market
  • Creating a strong and sustainable new business pipeline
  • Turning those relationships into profitable long-term revenue

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is not a role for somebody who wants to inherit a comfortable account base and simply maintain it.

It is for somebody who enjoys creating opportunity.

Someone who can walk into a market, build relationships, earn trust and open doors.

And importantly, you do not need to arrive with every relationship already established.

An existing network would certainly help....but the ability to create the network is more important.

The right person will be commercially driven, naturally strong at building relationships and comfortable operating without constant direction.

The reporting line is to a UK-based Sales & Marketing Director whose philosophy is straightforward:

Hire good people. Trust them. Let them deliver.

You will therefore be given considerable freedom to determine how you develop the Irish market and where the greatest commercial opportunities lie.

If you need constant direction, this probably will not be the right environment.

But if you are the kind of salesperson who has ever thought:

“I’d love to have the freedom and feeling of running my own business but with all the financial security of being an employee” then this could be an unusually good fit.

You get the stability and backing of a major international organisation and you also get the freedom, trust and ownership normally associated with building something yourself.

The role is home-based in Ireland, with travel throughout the country as required.

If you are already succeeding in sales but feel the amount of freedom you have is capped, this may be worth a confidential conversation.
