About the Role
We're looking for a motivated and strategically minded Senior Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to join our growing commercial team in the UK and help scale next-generation autonomous ground systems for governmental applications. In this role, you'll drive defence procurement activities, support strategic partnerships, and expand ARX Robotics' presence across UK and global markets.
In your day-to-day work, you'll help shape the commercial growth of a fast-moving dual-use robotics company operating at the intersection of defence, autonomy, and cutting-edge technology.
What You'll Build
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic business opportunities across defence, government, and security sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with military stakeholders, procurement authorities, industry partners, and key customers
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to align customer requirements with product capabilities
- Drive market expansion activities in the UK and NATO defence ecosystems
- Support capability development discussions, demonstrations, field trials, and customer events
- Monitor market trends, procurement programs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies, partnership development, and long-term commercial planning
- Represent ARX Robotics at industry events, trade shows, and military exercises
- Help establish scalable business development processes and mentor junior team members where appropriate
- Help refine and articulate ARX Robotics' operational concepts, including force integration models and the role of autonomous systems in defence and security
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in Business Development, Defence Sales, Government Relations, or a related commercial role
- Strong understanding of defence procurement processes and capability development environments
- UK military experience (serving military or civil service) is highly preferred
- Existing network within UK, NATO or FVEY defence ecosystems is a strong advantage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience of BD and Sales pipeline processes including capture, qualification, bid and proposal management highly desirable
- Strategic mindset with the ability to operate hands-on in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Experience working with governmental, military, or security-sector stakeholders
- Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Willingness to travel across the UK and Overseas for customer meetings, operational trials, and industry events
- Fluency in English is required
- Eligibility to work in the UK is required
