Jim Gleeson is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to one of the world’s leaders in visual display and imaging solutions to further develop their business with the NHS.

The Role:

This is an exciting role for an experienced and commercially focused professional who is passionate about healthcare and has a proven track record in business development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding the company’s presence within the healthcare diagnostics market.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, the SBDM will identify and develop new business opportunities, create and implement strategic growth plans, and contribute to increased sales performance, market share, and revenue generation. A key focus of the role will be to proactively expand and maintain our presence across the UK healthcare market, maximising profitable sales growth through the acquisition of new business and creating revenue opportunities at every customer touchpoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute market sales strategies in line with overarching corporate goals for assigned market segment development.
  • Exceed personal and team sales targets within new, existing and lapsed top revenue generating accounts. Identify and qualify new opportunities within assigned market segment.
  • Proactively manage a pipeline of qualified and pre-qualified leads from various sources, understanding requirements to enable a targeted proposal that will lead to the point of purchase order.
  • Proactively act as ambassador for the corporation by networking and adding influence within their market sector.

Your Background:

  • Proven experience of developing and growing business opportunities within the NHS.
  • Strong commercial experience engaging with clinical teams and senior healthcare professionals.
  • A track record of increasing account value through cross-selling, relationship development, and strategic account management.
  • Proven success in acquiring new business and delivering sustainable sales growth.
  • Ideally, a clinical understanding of radiology or pathology systems.
  • This position will have regular daily travel which may require overnight stays, primarily throughout the UK but also on occasion globally. Must be a car/van driver with a full clean license.
