Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a strong network and proven track record within the UK payments and fintech sector, with a particular focus across iGaming, Crypto and Casinos. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new commercial opportunities, building long-term relationships with merchants and partners, and helping expand the company's presence beyond its traditional high-risk payments customer base.

This is an opportunity for someone who already has an established network within payments and can leverage existing relationships while also opening doors to new sectors and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities across the UK payments market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, partners and key industry stakeholders.
  • Leverage an existing network across payments, fintech and related sectors to generate new opportunities.
  • Develop new business across both established and emerging payments verticals.
  • Help expand the company's customer base beyond traditional high-risk industries.
  • Understand client requirements and work closely with internal teams to develop appropriate payment solutions.
  • Manage the full business development cycle, from initial prospecting through to negotiation and onboarding.
  • Build a strong pipeline and consistently deliver against revenue and business development targets.
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activity and emerging opportunities within the payments ecosystem.
  • Work closely with senior management to identify and develop new commercial strategies and market opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
