Senior Business Development Manager (Private Equity)

Join a leading global US law firm and play a key role in driving Business Development across its highly regarded Private Equity practice. We’re seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Business Development Manager who is confident managing competing priorities across their own and the wider team’s workload and responds positively to shifting demands and opportunities.

Senior Business Development Manager – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and deliver business and client development plans with practice leaders and global teams, focusing on target clients, revenue growth and relationships
  • Strengthen existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities and areas for growth
  • Partner with lawyers and global BD teams to drive client and target development activity
  • Provide market, industry and competitor insights to inform BD strategy and identify opportunities
  • Lead pitches, proposals and RFPs, developing compelling strategies and coordinating submissions from start to finish
  • Support new business opportunities, including fee proposals, pitch preparation and post-pitch follow-up
  • Maintain BD materials and client intelligence, promoting best practice and knowledge sharing across teams
  • Lead profile-raising activity, including client events, conferences, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, awards and league tables
  • Collaborate with London and global marketing and communications teams on campaigns and client initiatives
  • Manage complex projects and competing priorities across London, regional and global teams
  • Support BD training and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
