Role Description
The Senior Business Development Manager – Time-Critical Logistics is a full-time, hybrid role based in England, United Kingdom, with flexibility for some work from home. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and managing strategic business opportunities in the time-critical logistics sector, particularly within aviation and related industries. Daily responsibilities include prospecting new clients, nurturing key accounts, and building long-term partnerships that drive revenue growth and market expansion.

- Creating and presenting tailored logistics solutions
- Preparing proposals and contracts
- Collaborating closely with operations teams to ensure service feasibility and delivery excellence
- Analyzing market trends
- Maintaining accurate sales pipelines and forecasts
- Representing Genus Logistics at industry events, meetings, and client visits

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management within logistics, aviation, or time-critical services.
- Strong skills in relationship building, negotiation, and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence decision-makers at multiple levels.
- Proficiency in pipeline management, forecasting, and use of CRM systems to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Solid understanding of international logistics, air freight, AOG operations, and time-critical transport requirements.
- Ability to interpret market data, identify growth opportunities, and develop tailored commercial strategies and proposals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confident presentation and client-facing capabilities.
- Comfort with hybrid working arrangements, effective self-management, and collaboration across remote and on-site teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, logistics, aviation management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and contributing to revenue growth in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally, as required for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
