Melber Flinn is seeking an experienced Business Development and Marketing professional for a senior commercial opportunity within the private acute healthcare sector in the Midlands.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished healthcare commercial professional to take a leading role in developing and delivering business growth, strengthening referral networks and identifying new opportunities across a private acute hospital environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing business development and marketing plans designed to increase activity, revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering business development and marketing strategies.
- Identifying new commercial opportunities, markets and services.
- Building strong relationships with consultants and supporting the growth of their private practices.
- Developing relationships with GPs, referrers, insurers, corporate partners and other key stakeholders.
- Driving growth across self-pay, insured and other patient pathways.
- Identifying opportunities to increase activity and market share across key clinical specialties.
- Supporting consultant recruitment, engagement and retention.
- Identifying and helping to develop new clinical services and patient pathways.
- Leading local marketing, promotional and business development activity.
- Using market intelligence and performance data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Working closely with operational and clinical colleagues to ensure commercial opportunities can be delivered effectively.
- Contributing to the wider strategy and growth plans of the organisation.

About You
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Significant experience within business development, sales, marketing or commercial roles.
- Previous experience within the private acute hospital sector is strongly preferred.
- A strong understanding of the commercial dynamics of private healthcare, including consultant relationships, referral pathways and local market development.
- Experience developing relationships with consultants and other healthcare professionals.
- A track record of identifying and delivering commercial growth and new business opportunities.
- Understanding of self-pay and insured patient pathways.
- Experience developing and implementing sales, marketing or business development strategies.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Good commercial awareness and confidence using market and performance data to inform decisions.
- The credibility to work effectively with senior clinical, operational and executive stakeholders.
