As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Business Growth Manager to spearhead our expansion in the local market in the United Kingdom. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse sales team dedicated to identifying key prospects, acquiring new clients, and driving market share growth. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in the payments industry, demonstrating a strong understanding of payment solutions, market trends, and the needs of businesses in this space. They should be a proactive, results-oriented professional who excels in building relationships and navigating fast-paced, competitive environments.
Reporting Line: Head of Sales UK (Acquiring)
Location: Hybrid set up from our London Office in Holborn.
What You Will Do
- Developing and maintaining strong market knowledge of payabl.'s products and services, and effectively positioning their value to prospective merchants
- Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across the assigned market through direct and indirect sales channels
- Conducting market and competitor research to identify growth opportunities and better understand merchant requirements
- Building and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders across target industries to support long-term business development
- Delivering sales presentations, managing negotiations, concluding commercial agreements, and supporting new merchants through the onboarding process
- Proactively generating, qualifying, and progressing leads in order to maintain a robust and sustainable pipeline
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and teams to ensure a high standard of merchant experience and service delivery
- Achieving and exceeding agreed commercial objectives and sales targets in line with the company's growth strategy

Who You Are
You are a driven, results-oriented professional with a passion for business development and growth. With a keen understanding of the payments and fintech landscape, you excel at creating opportunities and closing deals. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and approach challenges with a proactive, "hunter" mentality.

- B2B Sales Experience - You bring at least 3 years of experience in B2B sales within payments, fintech, or related technology sectors.
- Industry Network - You have a strong network within the UK payments ecosystem, allowing you to open doors, identify opportunities faster, and make an immediate impact.
- Proactive & Resourceful - You're a self-starter who actively leverages lead generation tools, your industry knowledge, and network to build a strong sales pipeline.
- Organized & Efficient - You manage multiple priorities with ease and are highly motivated to stay on track and achieve your goals.
- Results-Driven - You're commercially focused and take pride in consistently surpassing sales performance metrics.
- Strong Negotiator - You have a proven track record of closing deals and handling complex negotiations with confidence and skill.
- Track Record of Success - You have consistently exceeded sales targets and are driven to keep pushing the needle further.

- Video Interview (Hireflix) - A short, asynchronous video assessment (approx. 5 minutes) where you'll respond to a few pre-set questions, helping us understand your communication style, key skills, and behavioral fit for the role
- In-Depth Discussion - A 60-minute deep dive with the Hiring Manager, the Head of Sales to assess your skills and alignment with the role
- Final Behavioral Interview - A team-fit assessment with our CEO of the UK office and Group Chief Growth Officer of Acquiring, ensuring a strong cultural and strategic match
