Hybrid (Shoreham-by-Sea HQ, 2 days home per week)

The role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, Private Equity backed business at a time when our Data and Analytics function is central to the next phase of growth. The team sits across every division, acquisition and product at Focus Group, and this role is a chance to own that impact end to end.

We're looking for a doer with a strategist's head. You'll own analytics products from start to finish, lead projects that cut across operations, finance and every part of the group, and turn data into decisions the business can act on. You'll be a key voice in giving our executive leadership team the tools they need to make fast, accurate decisions — owning analysis products as well as delivering ad-hoc insight that tells the story behind the numbers.
You'll work with a modern analytics stack (Snowflake, dbt, Power BI) from our HQ in Shoreham-by-Sea, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week (Wednesday and Friday).
What you'll be doing:
- Providing reporting, insight and analytics that support data-driven decisions across the business
- Manipulating, analysing and interpreting complex data sets
- Leading the development of analytics applications and products
- Working alongside data engineering on data ingestion and modelling projects
- Helping shape the ongoing development of our reporting and analytics capability

What we're looking for:
- 5+ years' experience in a commercial or strategic analyst role
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a commercial mindset
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present the story behind the data to senior stakeholders
- A track record of using data analysis to bring clarity to complex problems and support decision-making
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with analytics and visualisation tools (Power BI preferred)
Nice to have
- Experience with star schema and multi-dimensional data modelling
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with dbt and/or Snowflake
