Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Tableau SME)
London
Up to £60,000
This is an opportunity to play a key role within a business-critical Tableau environment during a period of significant data transformation. You'll help drive BI best practice, influence reporting strategy, and support the modernisation of a growing analytics function as it transitions towards a cloud-first architecture.

The Role
As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be a subject matter expert for Tableau across the organisation, helping to drive standards, governance, and platform adoption while delivering high-impact reporting solutions.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing end-to-end Tableau solutions across Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Cloud
- Designing and maintaining scalable data sources, semantic layers, and reporting frameworks
- Promoting Tableau development best practices and supporting consistent delivery standards
- Building high-quality dashboards that provide actionable business insight
- Writing and optimising SQL across cloud and enterprise data environments
- Enabling business users through self-service analytics and reporting capabilities
- Supporting BI governance, data quality initiatives, and reporting standards
- Acting as an escalation point for complex reporting and data challenges
- Collaborating with Data Engineers on data architecture, modelling, and performance optimisation
- Contributing to a major cloud migration programme and the wider modernisation of the analytics ecosystem

Your Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Tableau, including dashboard development, data source design, and Tableau Prep
- Experience delivering end-to-end BI solutions rather than solely front-end reporting
- Strong SQL skills, including complex querying, data transformation, and performance optimisation
- Experience enhancing, scaling, or improving a Tableau environment
- Good understanding of data modelling, governance, and BI best practices
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with cloud data platforms, migrations, or analytics transformation programmes is advantageous
- Exposure to Tableau administration, performance tuning, and self-service analytics initiatives would be beneficial
