Role Overview

Introduction to the role:

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Finance Business Intelligence team.

This newly created role sits right at the centre of transformation as we move away from manual, fragmented, legacy reporting towards a modern, automated, and insight driven approach that supports real time decision making across the business.

This role is responsible for delivering end to end Power BI reporting, turning financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight.

You’ll focus on replacing manual processes with scalable, automated solutions and Power BI dashboards, while working closely with stakeholders to meet business needs. You’ll also play a key role in improving reporting, supporting self-service analytics, and helping shape the future of the Finance BI function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions, from data ingestion and transformation through to high-quality, production-ready dashboards.
  • Apply strong data visualisation and UX principles to create intuitive, visually consistent outputs that drive actionable insight and decision-making.
  • Replace manual, Excel-based processes with scalable, automated and reusable reporting solutions, enabling enterprise-wide self-service analytics.
  • Develop robust, performant models using Power Query and best-practice DAX, ensuring accuracy, usability and maintainability.
  • Extract, transform and manipulate data using SQL to support analytical and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain, optimise and enhance existing SSRS reporting, ensuring continuity and modernisation where appropriate.
  • Produce clear and comprehensive documentation (datasets, measures, models and reports) to support auditability, knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance.
  • Analyse operational and financial data to identify key trends, risks and opportunities, providing clear recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Champion and embed self-service BI capabilities across the organisation, driving adoption and improving data literacy.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
  • Support the team in their legacy reporting
  • Contribute to the development and long-term strategy of the Finance Business Intelligence function, with scope to shape team structure and capability as it grows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
