We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and offer workplace adjustments to ensure you have the support you need to succeed in your role.

The Role

We are looking to recruit a motivated, confident, and organised individual who has the drive to support the Head of Sales Management and Channel Heads across M&G’s Distribution Business. The successful candidate will be central to the smooth running of distribution operations – supporting business development initiatives, recurring MI reporting requirements, and cross-functional coordination.

The Sales Management team, part of the Global Client Group COO, provides both strategic and tactical support to the Distribution business.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on role suited to someone who is detail oriented, analytically strong, and possesses a strong understanding of distribution and client-facing businesses, with the ability to quickly develop expertise in new areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales Management to provide strategic and tactical support to Distribution teams and Channel Heads on a day-to-day basis;
  • Partner with Channel Heads and senior stakeholders to identify strategic priorities, assess opportunities, and drive execution of key business initiatives across Distribution;
  • Collaborate with the Strategy team on client segmentation/tiering initiative;
  • Drive MI & reporting: collate data and help prepare recurring MI and governance reports (e.g., for ExCo, Boards, Committee);
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Product, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Marketing etc.) to resolve issues impacting the Distribution business;
  • Collaborate with Salesforce team to promote and support effective use of Salesforce across Sales; driving adoption and ensuring good quality data inputs;
  • Identify and lead process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives across Distribution to enhance scalability and effectiveness;
  • Build trusted relationships across Client Group, COO teams, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Technology functions, influencing stakeholders and driving outcomes;
  • Distribution training: work with internal teams to facilitate training for Distribution teams, and developing appropriate assessment content.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
