Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About your role

The Strategic Initiatives Lead will play a key role in supporting the Chief People Officer, Head of HR Enablement and HR Leadership Team to shape, oversee and drive priority strategic initiatives across the CPO function and the broader business. This is a senior business management role, bringing together strategic planning, delivery governance, change leadership, business analysis, data insight, reporting and communications.

You will help translate enterprise priorities into a clear people agenda, delivery roadmap and set of measurable outcomes, ensuring the work of the CPO function is directly connected to the needs of the business. Working with the HR Enablement team, HR Leadership Team and initiative owners, you will help shape, monitor and drive the strategic initiatives that underpin the business strategy, multi-year plan and Forward 8 priorities.

You will create a clear, joined-up view of the CPO strategic portfolio, ensuring delivery is on track, risks and dependencies are actively managed, and decisions are made at the right level. Where required, you will also take the lead on specific strategic initiatives, bringing structure, pace and focus to ensure they move from planning through to delivery.

You will also ensure progress, priorities, risks and decisions are communicated clearly across senior forums and stakeholder groups. This includes producing high-quality executive reporting, board-level updates, GOC materials, leadership packs and communications that support alignment, accountability and action.
