Senior Business Solutions Analyst – Innovation & AI

Blue Legal is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Senior Business Solutions Analyst – Innovation & AI to join its Southampton office. Working as part of the Technology and Innovation function, the successful candidate will develop and implement innovative legal technology and AI solutions that improve efficiency, enhance client experience, and support the firm's wider strategic growth.

The Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the firm's Innovation and AI strategy, identifying and assessing legal technology and AI solutions against business, technical, security, and operational requirements.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing development of approved legal technology and AI systems, taking ownership across the full system lifecycle from implementation through to eventual decommissioning.
  • Gather and analyse business requirements, translating user needs into effective technology solutions, system configurations, and process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and deliver cost savings through technology, automation, and innovative ways of working.
  • Provide technical support across allocated systems, troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and developing permanent solutions to recurring problems.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party technology suppliers, ensuring solutions are successfully delivered and aligned with business requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure all solutions adhere to technology governance, cyber security, data privacy, and security-by-design requirements, while supporting and mentoring less experienced team members.

  • Several years' experience implementing and supporting innovative AI and legal technology systems within a law firm environment, with a strong understanding of how technology can solve business challenges.
  • Experience working within a technology change environment, with knowledge of system integrations and APIs advantageous; relevant technology or project management qualifications would also be beneficial.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
