📍 Location: Swansea (This role is suitable for hybrid working)

💷 Salary: £44,241 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%

🕘️ Contract Type: Permanent – Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time

The role is responsible for implementing recruitment plans, supporting resourcing initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve recruitment processes and candidate experience, helping to strengthen DVLA's Digital employer brand.

A strong stakeholder focus is essential, working closely with hiring managers, HR colleagues, Communications teams, Finance and Commercial Services and third-party recruitment suppliers to coordinate recruitment activity, monitor progress, resolve issues and provide regular updates on recruitment outcomes and workforce plans.

Top Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring ITS (IT Services Department) has access to high quality workforce data and information to support recruitment and workforce planning.
  • Identifying skill/competency requirements and critical role/skill across ITS providing data feed into recruitment and capability development plans.
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners/Consultants/Recruitment Hub/3rd Party suppliers to support ITS in meeting its objectives, identifying non-alignment between the business needs and the HR service provision working with stakeholders to resolve these issues, evaluating, and continuously assessing their effectiveness.
  • Manage the delivery of recruitment activity across capabilities. Provide support and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, explaining policy, process and best practice. Act as a first point of escalation for recruitment related enquiries. Work closely with HR colleagues and stakeholders to support the successful attraction, selection and onboarding of candidates.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

  • Delivering recruitment campaigns and resourcing activities, with a good understanding of recruitment policies, legislation and best practice to ensure compliant and effective recruitment outcomes.
  • A positive and collaborative approach, with experience of supporting teams, managing competing priorities and working with colleagues across different functions to achieve shared objectives.
  • A commitment to inclusion and continuous improvement, with the ability to support colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, provide advice and guidance and influence decisions.
