The Role
As a Senior Business & Transformation Consultant, you will help organisations tackle complex challenges, shape strategic change, and deliver lasting business outcomes. Working closely with customers, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and practical delivery, helping to design and implement solutions that improve services, operating models, organisational effectiveness, and ways of working.
You will work with senior stakeholders to understand business needs, define clear and achievable outcomes, and guide organisations through change from early discovery and analysis through to implementation, adoption, and benefits realisation. Along the way, you will collaborate with specialists across business analysis, architecture, service design, change management, and transformation disciplines to ensure solutions are both deliverable and sustainable.
We're looking for a consultant with a strong track record in business transformation, organisational change, business architecture, enterprise architecture, service design, operating model design, business analysis, or a related discipline. You'll bring the ability to navigate ambiguity, engage confidently with stakeholders, and translate complex business problems into practical recommendations that deliver measurable value.
At Envitia, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful transformation programmes across government, defence, national security, and other complex environments, helping customers create better services, improve operational performance, and achieve their strategic goals.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Business & Transformation Consultant, you'll work closely with customers to understand complex challenges, shape future-state solutions, and deliver meaningful organisational change. You'll play a key role throughout the transformation lifecycle, from discovery and strategy through to implementation, adoption, and benefits realisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading discovery activities, stakeholder engagement, workshops, and business analysis to understand customer objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
- Translating complex or ambiguous business needs into clear recommendations, requirements, roadmaps, and transformation plans.
- Assessing current operating environments and helping customers design future business capabilities, operating models, governance structures, and organisational approaches.
- Developing business architectures, capability models, transformation roadmaps, and practical plans that connect strategic goals with achievable outcomes.
- Supporting organisations through change by assessing impacts, engaging stakeholders, driving adoption, and helping teams transition to new ways of working.
- Designing customer-centred services, processes, organisational structures, and operating models that improve performance and deliver measurable value.
- Working collaboratively with architects, analysts, service designers, engineers, delivery teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned and deliverable.
- Helping organisations measure success by defining outcomes, performance indicators, benefits, and adoption metrics.
- Supporting the delivery of transformation programmes by prioritising activities, managing dependencies, and ensuring a clear link between business objectives and realised benefits.
- Contributing to business development activities, including proposals, bids, client presentations, and the development of new consulting opportunities.
- Sharing knowledge, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the continued growth of Envitia's consulting capability and service offerings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
