The Role

We're working with an ambitious, fast-growing business within the sports and lifestyle space that is looking to appoint a Senior Buyer to help shape its next phase of growth.

From identifying new product opportunities and developing supplier partnerships to making key commercial decisions, you'll play an instrumental role in building a successful and profitable product offering.

Working alongside multiple teams, you'll have the autonomy to bring fresh ideas, challenge existing processes and make a tangible difference.

Ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys taking responsibility and wants to grow with a business that has ambitious plans for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the buying strategy, identifying opportunities to expand the product offering and drive business growth.
  • Research new products, suppliers and emerging market opportunities to keep the range competitive and commercially relevant.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, securing favourable costs, payment terms, production timelines and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier partnerships, ensuring reliable service and long-term value.
  • Oversee product development and purchasing timelines, coordinating with internal teams to ensure products are delivered in line with key business dates.
  • Manage buying budgets and stock investment, ensuring purchasing decisions are aligned with sales expectations and financial targets.
  • Analyse sales performance, margins and stock availability to identify areas for improvement and maximise profitability.
  • Review product performance throughout the season, making informed decisions around replenishment, pricing and markdowns.
  • Monitor market activity, customer trends and competitor offerings to identify new opportunities and inform future buying decisions.
  • Produce regular sales and stock analysis, using data to support recommendations and guide commercial planning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
